The Block Of
Time is a cost effective plan with which you can take care of all of
your personal computing, networking and Internet design needs. The
Block Of Time that can be used for any of the services provided by
Printers Computers & LANS. It covers everything from planning and
installation, to on-going support and Internet design work. It is a
simple and flexible approach to obtaining professional computer
services, no matter what you might need.

Advantages
Unlike
typical support contracts, the Block Of Time can be applied toward a
wide variety of services over a specified period of time. All of the
services provided by PC&L can be billed against the Block Of Time. If
more time is needed than was initially contracted for, an additional
Block Of Time can be purchased at the same discounted rate.
Time is
accurately tracked for each use of the Block Of Time, and you receive
a statement for each support activity, indicating the type of service
performed, the amount of time used, and the time remaining under the
current contract.
Cost
We have a standard rate for
computer work of $90 per hour and networking
work of $110 per hour. A Block Of Time is
sold in 10-hour increments. You get a 25% discount off of the
hourly rate if you buy one to three blocks (Higher discounts if 4 or
more blocks are bought). This lowers the hourly rate to $68 per hour
on computer work and $85 hour on Networking work. This gives a savings
of $22 and $25 per hour.
One Block Of Time
Costs $680.
Hours
bought on the Block Of Time plan also be used to cover URGENT
(4-hour response time) support calls and after hours calls, along with Standard non-critical
calls. Hours will be deducted from the Block Of Time in relation to
the response-time requested: Urgent responses are billed at
time-and-a-half rates. The table below summarizes the Customer

Hourly
rates pricing applies to normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00
AM- 5:00 PM. Activities before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, weekdays,
will be billed at 1.5/1.8 hours per worked. Work performed on
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays will be billed at double time. Each
on-site service call will be assessed 0.5 hours of standard rate for
trip charge in Houston and San Antonio area. Other areas outside of
Houston and San Antonio will be assessed 1 hour for each hour of
travel.
