Warranty Policy:
Printer consumables and total life-cycle costs of a printer are often hidden in the cost of maintenance and support. As part of Kyocera's customer commitment, service and warranty options meet the demand to reduce printer downtime to an absolute minimum and take into consideration Total Cost of Ownership issues.

Corporate buying decisions for printers are often evaluated on:

• The initial purchase price
• Consumables cost
• Cost of maintenance

Kyocera's amorphous silicon (a-Si) drum, which requires only toner replacement and standard maintenance, last approximately thirty times longer than conventional drums for two reasons:

• The a-Si drum is made of durable ceramic photoconductive surface. Because the surface is harder, it resists scratches and deterioration associated with standard organic photoconductor cartridge (OPC) systems and can produce up to 350,000 pages before maintenance is required (see warranty matrix below).
• The drum is consistently and constantly maintained via a unique, ceramic-embedded toner called Ecotone that polishes and reconditions the a-Si drum every time a print is made while providing high-quality images.

The synergy between the a-Si drum and ceramic imbedded toner is such that use of a generic toner will cause loss of print quality and eventual drum failure.

An Ecosys printer has a 1-year parts and labor warranty. With the Ecosys systems there is also an extended warranty on the developer and print drum as described in the warranty matrix.
